Director and Senior Therapist - Hazel Saville

Stop Press 19.1.2011: Hazel has just become one of the first in the country to achieve a new national standard of excellence for her therapy.She has been registered by the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), the UK regulator for complementary healthcare. The recognition places her at the forefront of a national drive to provide a benchmark for standards and safety for the public. Practitioners registered with the CNHC meet national occupational standards and abide by a rigorous code of conduct, performance and ethics. The CNHC is sponsored by the Department of Health. By providing a verification of standards, the CNHC allows GPs, hospitals, private healthcare providers and insurance companies to refer patients to hypnotherapy practitioners or to make hypnotherapy more readily available in health centres, clinics, doctors’ surgeries and hospitals.

Hazel was born & raised in Swansea. She started her career at the age of 22 as a social worker in an inner London borough. After six years she concluded it was much like sticking plaster over a deep wound that really needed cleaning and stitching. Clients were usually offered temporary solutions that were unable to address patterns of behaviour resulting from their underlying beliefs, early patterning, and lack of self-esteem and confidence. Hazel’s search for a solution led to a study of many different therapeutic approaches and considerable personal growth.

Hazel qualified with The National School of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy (NSHAP) in 1999 as a practitioner in Therapeutic Hypnosis and Psychotherapy. She was awarded the NSHAP Advanced Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma in 2003 after undergoing further training, an extended period of clinical supervision and demonstrating evidence of competence at that advanced practitioner level.

Hazel has been awarded a BA (Hons) in Humanities, Diploma in Social Work, Certificate in Counselling, Master Practitioner NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), and Master Practitioner Time Line Therapy. Hazel has also held for many years the Senior Qualification in Hypnotherapy Practice and is a senior member of the General Hypnotherapy Register (www.general-hypnotherapy-register.com).

Hazel has also trained in a number of other healing approaches, including Reconnective Healing and Theta DNA Healing. She is a certified Advanced Theta DNA Healing Practitioner. Peter was born in London in 1949. He has been married to Hazel for over 38 years. He qualified as a Science Teacher from London University and taught in comprehensives in London and Swansea for 2 years, had a short spell in electrical engineering and then joined the Civil Service as a junior executive. After 6 years in planning and staff management roles he was promoted almost immediately after moving into the IT Specialism.

Soon privatised, Peter worked for over 20 years in IT in various senior roles including Programming Team Leader, Project Manager, Senior Business Analyst and Consultant. These roles have taken him to various cities in the UK and abroad to N. and S. America, working for clients including various Government departments, blue chip companies, on bids and for his own multi-national employer on global sales definition work.

Peter had his interest in hypnotherapy aroused first through seeing the real and very rapid difference Hazel made in people’s lives for good and in seeing the tremendous job satisfaction she got from that. He took an introductory course in NLP in Bristol and later left the IT world to complete the intensive training at Surrey institute for Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (HPD) in Clinical Hypnosis, accredited by NCH and NCFE. This also included the Clinical NLP Practitioner Certificate. He is now working alongside Hazel with a great deal of success in the Golden Hill Therapy Centre.
